I Love To Read 2023
One of my favourite parts of this month is sharing books and messages that can empower kids to be themselves, share their gifts and learn new things. Take a look at some of my favourite books and some of the places I’ll be going to share for I Love to Read Month!
9 Highlights From 2022
Many folks like to trash 2022 for the many struggles and difficulties that came with it, but looking back, I had tons of fun! I learned plenty and it makes me even more excited for what's coming next! Whether it was a first time experience for me, or continuing to do something I love, here are 9 Highlights From 2022:
Worker Rights in Manitoba
Workers have 4 rights legislated in Manitoba to keep them safe. Please share this info with young workers or anyone who needs to know how to exercise their rights for a healthy and safe work place.
New Infographic: Indigenous Relations Winnipeg At A Crossroads 2022
Check out this one pager that supports the Circle of Life Thunderbird House and the Indigenous relations division ahead of the coming municipal election in Winnipeg! Shout out to CCPA and SPCW for their work on the Alternative Budget this year <3
#1 For A Reason
I've seen immense progress in the past year within many places and people I have strong relationships with. But we need everyone to help if we're gonna make reconciliation and a good life for all a reality. I suggest that we start at the beginning, at call to action #1, do what we can to support parents and bring the children home.
Timing
Yet.
The thing didn't happen, yet.
The person didn't respond, yet.
My goal has not been achieved, yet.
The power of this one word anchors your statement or objective in this moment and time. It tells you what is, right now. But it also acts as a personal challenge. It can help us to re-frame our thinking, re-imagine timelines, be open to things as they happen and welcome the coming work it will take to make our goal a reality.
