I've seen immense progress in the past year within many places and people I have strong relationships with. But we need everyone to help if we're gonna make reconciliation and a good life for all a reality. I suggest that we start at the beginning, at call to action #1, do what we can to support parents and bring the children home.

If you’ve been seeing some of the main stream conversation around Indian Residential School, it has been downright hurtful! I needed to get some of my thoughts out about some of the things that we cannot deny. For example, it is undeniable that survivors and their truths are what have brought us this far!

Orange Shirt Day is going to be very different this year for many reasons. For me it has to do with the holiday, the actions that (I hope) non Indigenous people will be taking and the systems change that will result from it. What are you doing to make a difference?

I wrote this poem out of frustration, anger and sadness. Another mass grave was discovered and many people will talk about the tragedy. I continue to believe that if you want to do something productive, support and protect children today.
