I Love To Read With Children's Hospital TV

I got to do the best adventure today! I got to visit the helpers at Children's Hospital TV and read a book to them (& our special puppet friend No Name) for I Love To Read Month. I learned as they were introducing me that there was also an Olympic theme and it made the book I selected so much fun! I'm grateful they sent me these awesome photos of our time together.

The book I selected was “What Is My Super Power?” By Aviaq Johnston, illustrated by Tim Mack. It's such a fun book that celebrates how talented we can all be in different ways. I enjoy how it's in a rural setting and I especially enjoy how it shares the definition and how to pronounce a few words in Inuktitut for people to learn and practice as they read. Another awesome thing about the book is that the main character brings her puppy along with her on all the many different adventures, something I relate to since I got to include my cat on the cover of my kids book.

Thank you to everyone who helps make entertainment and education for the kids staying at the hospital, I know you make their time there a little easier and hobby a little faster! I'm happy I was able to be a small part of it for I Love to Read Month!
