Medicine Wheel Goal Setting with Christine M’Lot
The medicine wheel has been foundational to me as I have grown up and learned from many Anishinabe knowledge keepers here in Winnipeg, treaty one territory. The medicine wheel is a multi faceted series of teachings that can help us understand the world and understand ourselves. Christine M’Lot is a Anishinabe educator who has developed a fantastic series of 3 videos around goal setting and the medicine wheel. After checking them out myself, I can tell you that you would benefit, especially as we look to 2021, from making sure you are setting goals in a good way. This tool allows us to do just that.
Christine’s Classroom & the Medicine Wheel
Christine has released these videos on her YouTube channel awesomely called “Christine’s Classroom”. You can view all three videos there and I recommend you subscribe and keep an eye on this space as she is sure to release more helpful videos. Next up, our Medicine Wheel goal Setting will begin in our 3 videos which you can see below:
Kinanaskomitin (thank you) Christine
Kinanaskomitin is thank you in my language, Ininew, more commonly known as Swampy Cree. It always feels appropriate to share a piece of my culture when someone so generously shares some of theirs. Reciprocity. I would like to thank Christine for putting these together and want to encourage anyone who is interested in goal setting from a cultural lens to take a look at these helpful goals. I know that I use the medicine wheel often but I still learned a couple new things, especially in the third video on tips, that I am going to carry with me and will help me in my wellness moving into the new year.
Hope you are all all well, happy new year and stay safe!
